We introduced Demo Templates back with version 1.1. Now you can set a default demo template that will be used as the template for sites that are being created and that are not linked from a demo template elsewhere.
In order to create a site from a demo template, you would include a demo button or link on one of your pages. When that link is clicked, the registration form is loaded and the demo template that was linked from, is used when the registration form is submitted and the new demo site is created.
If however, users simply landed on the registration from without clicking a specific demo button or link, the default settings were used when the demo site was created. Now, you can define a demo template to be used in these circumstances.
To define a default demo template, first create a demo template. Then, from within the network admin screen;
- Head to Settings -> Easy Plugin Demo -> Sites -> Demo Templates
- Select the Demo Template you would like to use as the default template from the Default Site Demo Template dropdown
- Click to Save Settings
Now, any sites created that are not referenced to a demo template, will be based on the template you selected.
